Statement
LeFrak started in the 1880’s as a NY-based real estate company. They now own over 400 residential, commercial, and hotel properties. The LeFrak portfolio includes energy, oil, and gas investments among other securities.
In the year 2020 workplace health and safety has become more important than ever. The covid-induced shutdown for most companies sent a disruptive wave through office design trends like we’ve never seen before, and suddenly “business pandemic planning” was at the forefront.
Many business leaders embraced the benefits of virtual teams and converted to a remote workforce with a home office setup. Many others, like LeFrak, chose office furniture solutions that would convert their existing office environments into a social distancing office layout. The biggest key factor in a safe return to work plan: the plexiglass barrier.
Our office interior design pro created a strategic “Plexi Protection Plan” for all modular cubicles positioned in an open office environment. We added clear acrylic workplace shields to the tops of all cubicle partition walls where people needed a safe physical barrier between faces, while still having full audio and visual interactions.
While clear plexiglass barrier shields can be temporary, there’s a good chance they will become a necessary staple of the modern workplace.
