Centers Health Care began humbly in 1996 with a single 77-bed nursing home. They have since become the largest post-acute healthcare provider in NY, taking care of nearly 400,000 lives per year. The CHC network maintains over 5,000 skilled nursing beds, the largest private ambulance company in NY, numerous managed care programs and services, and 4 home health care agencies, one of which is Centers Plan for Healthy Living.
We divided this office furniture installation into phases to coordinate with their construction schedule. In phase 1, we focused on case goods. The client allotted different budget ranges for different levels of seniority, so we selected a blend of private office collections from different office furniture manufacturers to accommodate.
For inexpensive and practical managers’ offices we specified a simple L-shaped desk and a lateral file cabinet with bookshelf from Cherryman Amber – always reliable and never expensive. Cherryman Verde was the proper line for the directors’ offices – still very affordable and similarly made with a particle board desk construction finished in premium grade laminate. However, Verde comes with a noticeable upgrade in the aesthetics and design details. The directors also had larger rooms so their office furniture setup included a C-shaped desk arrangement with a round meeting table and a wider filing and storage unit.
Two of the executives chose Global Zira for their offices. Zira is a great “go anywhere, do anything” office furniture brand. With literally 100’s of modular components and over 20 laminate finishes, you really can create just about anything you want with it. The office layouts are similar to the directors’ offices, with additional room to add an office couch.
For the top executive, conference rooms, and reception area, we satisfied an “upper-middle” budget range with Logiflex office furniture, made in Canada. Their Manhattan and Millennium lines consist of solid construction and top-notch craftsmanship with thoughtful design details.
