Statement
SCS Engineers specializes in waste management, renewable energy, remediation and compliance in their environmental contracting and consulting business. They serve both public and private sectors worldwide.
The client was attracted to tiled office workstation systems, popularized by Herman Miller Ethospace. We offered AIS Matrix systems furniture for a comparable look and feel, but with greater versatility and a better price point.
A key benefit of a “frame & tile” panel system is the amount of variety you have for the workstation design. On every cubicle panel, you can mix & match fabric, acoustic, laminate, whiteboard, slat wall, steel, and glass. Add in the color options for each, and you end up with thousands of possibilities for your office design.
Our office space planner created 2 clusters of 6x6 cubicles with 66”H panels, surrounded by perimeter walkways, and electrified via ceiling power poles. Two pedestal file cabinets and one cubicle overhead storage cabinet provide ample office storage space. A slat wall accessory tile gives the user a space to hang organization tools. At the client’s request, the cubicle arrangement accommodated 11 employees and we left the 12th spot open to serve as a shared water cooler and copy station spot.
