The firm wanted practical and affordable office furniture in New York City to accommodate nearly 100 employees in an open office environment. They specifically wanted collaborative workspace furniture that would be conducive to interactions & cooperative teamwork.
We faced an incredibly unique business layout challenge in this open office space. The entire office floor was defined by a maze of pony walls. What are pony walls, you ask? They’re low office dividing walls made from sheetrock/architectural products, about as high as a pony can jump.
We used these walls to our office interiors advantage and created an ideal office benching configuration with significant money savings. We joined a series of 24x48 desk surfaces into long office tables and mounted them to each side of the walls – supported by under-surface desk brackets and a file pedestal.
The sheetrock walls contain all necessary elements to route power & data to the stations, with outlets under every desk and a desk grommet hole in each surface for easy wire management. With this office furniture solution we negated the need for cubicle panels or cubicle electrical components, saving the client thousands.
The monochromatic office design of white office walls, white laminate desk tops, silver filing cabinets and metal desk legs, grey office carpet, and black task chairs gives this New York office interior a no-nonsense, down to business attitude.
