Statement
Collins Aerospace is passionate about keeping our skies smarter, safer, and nothing short of amazing. They specialize in aerostructures, avionics, interiors, mechanical systems, and power & control systems for customers across the commercial, regional, business aviation and military sectors.
With a new office in Midtown, Collins chose us from their candidates for office design companies that sell office furniture in New York City. Being engineers & designers, Collins already had their own clear plan for an office layout for eight 6’x8’ L shaped workstations and a matching reception station for visual continuity. They needed us to provide the right cubicle system and get it done.
We specified AIS Divi, made in the USA by systems furniture manufacturers AIS Office Furniture. AIS stands for Affordable Interior Systems and affordable was a key reason Collins agreed with our choice.
Cubicle panel heights varied from 50”-60” depending upon the location of each workstation cluster and proximity to windows. For office cubicle accessories we included a cubicle wall storage bin overhead, 2 file cabinets with drawers under the desktop, and 1 led task light under cabinet. All bins & drawers are lockable office storage cabinets.
We’re grateful to have partnered with Collins Aerospace on this first space planning and design project, which has since led to many more office furniture installations together.
